Happy Days

wowee, thursday already?
where does the time go?
really.

well this morning i made me some coffee
for the first time in months
because i finally bought some french vanilla creamer yesterday
(my favorite)
& now im currently on my second cup.
i have missed morning coffee dearly.
boring, right...i know, but its a big thing for me.
anyways so today is july 15
& last night i was like "hey michael,
tomorrow is the 15th, you know what that means?"
he proceeded with the typical answer
"that julys half over"
haha no.
we have been married for 2 months :)
"oh yea I knew that"
sure ya did.

 first picture we made together.
doing what we love best.
we weren't even dating here.
we went to windrock & rode all day.
i was soo nervous because we rode together.
& my dad was like, let me take you guys picture together
& i was embarrassed, but now im glad he did!
that was over 4 years ago.

i feel like talking a little bit about married life thus far.
it's actually great.
i know that's boring and you want me to say
how we fight all the time & blah blah, but we don't.
we just enjoy each others company.
sure, it's not perfect, but i wouldn't want it to be.
where i lack, he makes up for it and vice versa.
i feel so blessed to have a christian husband that
i have so much in common with.
i do miss my mom though.
it makes me sad to think about it, but i talk to her everyday
sometimes more than once.
but i still miss her a lot.

i haven't blogged this week because i planned to post
about some things and i wanted to post some older pictures.
well when i reset my computer i put all my pictures on a USB
which is now missing. not happy about it.
so i decided it apparently isn't showing up anytime soon,
so i should forget about it.

now, this weekend is bowman family reunion!
you know what that means?
lots of family, kids cane pole fishin, food, horseshoes, basketball, pinatas...aka funtimes!
especially if your a kid,
but even if your not, it's a blast.

since my pictures are lost,
this is the only one i could find.
these are my adorable little cousins with their cane poles!

last post i mentioned i got a sewing machine.
im sure your thinkin ive sewed my little heart out by now.
haha nope.
it seems to be a little more complicated than i thought,
but i'm working on it.
we had vbs at church this week, so no time for sewing.
the house is kinda messy and have come home exhausted every night.
i had ages 0-4 & man they are full of energy.
it was a great time though  & im super glad we did it.

tonite we get our wedding pictures back!!
im soo excited to see them!
so you know what to expect tomorrow :)
sorry, i don't have anything more interesting to say, typical.
thanks for taking the time to read this.
i really do enjoy it, even if no body read it...
i'd still blog.
im just a writer at heart.
saw this the other day & loved it.
my favorite college teacher always said
you speak life or death into a situation.
& this is kinda the same thing...
i choose not to live in a hostile environment
& i avoid conflict at all cost.

Friday Favorites

it's friday! wooohooo!

i seriously wrote a long blog out yesterday,
but my crazy computer wouldn't post for reason.
so, i save it for another day because
i decided to do something a little different today!

i love blogs.
like sorta addicted to reading them.
especially craft blogs!
but one i follow is A few of My Favorite Things
her name is jessica too
and she has the cutest things on there.
so, being inspired
on fridays im going to post my
Friday Favorites.
just things that i happen to be loving this week.
sometimes there maybe a theme and others totally random.
either way may be you will enjoy it!

this week i finally decided to clean up the craft room.
its kinda the junk room for now b.c. were still putting things up,
but i got to thinkin that school with start back soon and i need to get
to scrapbooking and crafting.

before

& after!
it still is a long way from finished, but at least i can find my stuff.
oh yeah and check out these labels i made
from vinyl on the cricut...

next is my little notes notebook that i made
out of all scrapbook paper scraps!

& now the inside

next, friday favorite is a blog that i love...
and its actually not a craft a blog,
but a coupon/deals blog!
Hip2Save is such a great site!
she posts so many good deals a day plus every week,
she lets you know what are the best sales at the stores.

Hmm....I guess that's about all my favorites for this friday
But I have saved my very most favorite for last!!
yep my newest toy!
i know it's not a big fancy-smancy one,
but i am sew excited! haha
there are so many projects
that ive been wanting to do
& now, once i get this sewing thing down,
i can do them!

We Take The Scenic Route

alright, first thing-

my blog just look to the left upper corner >>>>
& put in your email and you can subscribe.
now....
i hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.
we had a blast.
we rode about 500 miles on the bike this weekend
and saw some beautiful places.

I just love barns!

this is where we went yesterday and it was soo pretty!

 gorgeous mountains

it was great!
but we were gone 11 hours yesterday
& of course we stopped from time to time,
but mostly it was all riding
and we were worn out.

i wish i had something interesting to say, but i really don't.
i just wanna say that i enjoy the scenic route.
i like back roads and no traffic.
sometimes i feel like im so busy with whatever
that i don't look around at the beauty of the things around me.
& no matter if the interstate will get ya there
hours sooner, i will always prefer the long-way.
God is so amazing.

Home Ties

Fireworks! Freedom! Ice Cream! Music!
Oh I love summertime and
I'm pretty sure I said that yesterday.
But still, it's great!
& it's actually not 10million degrees today.

I honestly can't believe the 4th of July is this weekend.
I can't help but feel like Summer is passing me by quicker than I know.
We need to be working on the house and the yard, but
when it's sooo pretty out, I do not want to be inside on the weekends.
Jennifer says when you have kids, you will wonder what you
did with all your time before then, because you are always busy with them....
Well, I already feel that way about our house :)
It's never ending work to keep it clean and fix things
and today I was thinking, what did we do before we had a house to keep?

I plan to do a post about how our house looked when we bought it
and how it looks now...only it's still kinda a work in progress.
I want to have all my pictures put up and such before I start
flashing the camera around.
But, I am really happy with our little house.
It is evolving to be a great home.

In a few weeks or maybe months, I am going to start on my craft room!
I love to scrapbook, make cards and crafts.
Michael gets a huge garage to work in so,
I get the spare room to use as a craft room.
Here are some pictures of what I dream it will look something like...

So organized

 I love it!

I hope everyone has a fabulous 4th and gets to see
some pretty fireworks. I may post again tomorrow, but
just wanted to say it in case I didn't.

I leave you with some Maggie pictures.
She stayed with Mom & I miss her!

This is the day we were moving my stuff....
she thought we were leaving her and she
kept jumping in the truck and would not get out.
So sweet...dogs are so loyal, mostly anyways :)

Summertime=Blogtime!

Ahh!!! Has it really been since January since I've written?! Gosh, time has just swept away.

Stick with me as I try to catch you up....
First of all WE GOT MARRIED, as I'm sure most of you already know :) I plan to write an entry just on that. It happened to be amazing. Living the newlywed life is great as well. We are enjoying things soo much!(Picture by Amy Lou, sixtybphotography.com)

Next I PASSED my first semester of TTU SON (school of nursing)! I have never felt more relieved in my life! It is soo true, if God brings you to it, He will bring you thru it. He sent me some wonderful classmates who I help me so much. I am very thankful for my great friend Dreama, who laughed, cried and worried with me the whole time.

Hmm...what else? Well we are all moved in and STILL trying to get things in order, but it takes time. Everyday I think of more things to be done, but truth hardly have free time. Dad had his surgery and PRAISE GOD, things went well. He is healing nicely and we are soo thankful.  I just have to show you this great picture of my Dad at the the wedding, he is amazing to me, both my parents are.
Wow, God is good. We have been in Revival this week and honestly I can't praise Him enough for all He has done for me.  In the last 6 months I feel like I have had to lean on Him for everything and He has never let me down.

So, as far as Summer goes, we seriously have stuff happening every day it seems. I am home working and trying to relax a little before Round 2 of SON comes around and Michael, of course is working everyday. Every weekend is filled with new adventures it seems. We recently got a motorcycle we ride everywhere when the weather is nice. I kinda love it! I love Summertime sooo much. We are busy, but it's great! Camping, sunshine, mowing, four-wheelers, motorcycles, reunions....the list is endless.

I promise to try and keep this up this Summer so stay-tuned for some great stories!
