Time....where have you gone?

Wow... I know it has been quite a while since I have written, but since school started, I have had zeroooo time. I spend all day at school and my evenings studying and trying to get a little work in. I hear people say, "It's already almost February?!" And I think its only February? Haha. I really enjoy nursing school. I am learning my little heart out! I feel like I am right where I belong. I just stay confused 99.9% of the time, but it's not usually about the material, it is about what day is a test for this class and when is lab? I feel so unorganized but my planner is full of things written on every day! I am so worried I am going to come into class one day and we are suppose to have something done and I won't have it done. Fortunately, everyone is pretty helpful, there is just SO much stuff going on all at once, it's pretty intense. I go to my first clinical tomorrow at NHC. Pretty excited/nervous, but I'm sure it will go good.

Hmmm.....as far as other things go, is there anything to update you on? Let me think... We have decided to have my bridal shower over Spring Break, that Saturday, I think..lol, i think it may be March 14th?  I'm not sure.  That's what me and Mom talked about the other day anyways. I am excited about but it's not like I have time to really think about. I told her I just really wanted to make the invites because I have a really cute cricut cartridge I can make them with...it's just finding the time to do it. She keeps telling me to make a list of people to invite, I keep telling her I will, but I have yet to do so..lol. Maybe this weekend if it snow I'll find the time. I am planning to call a cake lady this week so maybe I will do that this evening. Michael wants to get one from Wal-Mart. haha. I don't know...decisions, decisions.  A couple of little wedding pictures to leave you with, not that you care because your not planning a wedding, but it's the only half-way interesting thing I have to share...:)

Here is a monogram I made for us. Eh, I'm not sure how crazy I am about it, but they're really time consuming and I want to put it on like our programs and such so I may stick with it.

This is a Wedding Map that someone on Etsy sells. It is the cutest thing I think, but its $110 for her to make one for you!??!?! But I would love to have one. Maybe I can find time to make one or talk someone into making one for me...any takers????

Thanks for reading. Have a blessed day!

Twice In One Day?

So, I may be a newbie at the whole blog world, but I'm snowed in and I need a break from reading about acute and chronic illnesses in my nursing books. So, I'm taking a break to write yet again.  I hope everyone is enjoying this snow and staying in and keeping warm. I haven't left the house in 2 days! Normally, I would be going stir crazy because that's just me. I have to interact with people. But I have enjoyed staying in and working and reading and getting ready for school to start. I can't believe nursing school starts next week! Eeeekkk!! All I have worked towards for 3 years  is about to start!  I am super excited but so nervous. Every time I talk about it, my stomach knots up. I really don't know why... I guess cause all you ever hear is how hard is and how draining it is. All I think is, can I hack it? Can I take it? But I know I can! I have to! There is nothing else out there for me, but nursing! I know this is where God wants me because this is where He put me.  I can't wait to be taking care of people. I know it won't be the most glamorous job, but I just want the opportunity to help people as they go through difficult situations.

Speaking of which, tomorrow we are going to a memorial service for a dear friend of the families Ron Eibel. He passed away on New Years Eve and he will be missed. Our prayers continue to be with his wife Abby and his children and his friends.  I remember the last time I saw him we were talking about me starting nursing school and him and Michael were talking about our house. They were building a house, so him and Michael were talking about dry-wall and such. He was one of Dad's good friends. It's crazy that when you talk to someone you know that it may be the last time. Now his wife is left with a house that is half finished and no husband. It is a terrible situation. Tomorrow as we go to pay our respects at his memorial service, I just pray God give us strength and the words of comfort.

Thanks for reading, again! Keep warm, it's freeezing out there! Here is Maggie Mae in the snow, with her polka-dot hoodie on.  :D

First Day of Blogging- Mostly about wedding cakes!

Alright, so it's the first day of blogging. I have officially decided to take this on, on top of many many other things. I decided to call my blog Student Nurse Bride because those are the things that takes up the most things in my life right now and that is what I will be talking about most of the time Nursing School and the wedding. I'll probably share with y'all some about the house too, because it is really coming along and looking good. It is still hard for me to believe we will be living there in a few months, but I am very excited!

So I guess today I will talk about wedding stuff! W
hile I have been off for Christmas break I have tried to get some stuff done for the wedding but it has really been hard to get motivated but I actually did get some stuff done. I will take some pictures and post later. One reason I wanted to make this blog was so I could look back after the wedding and see the progress that I had made planning the wedding. I am trying to do as much stuff as I can myself, oh but it takes so much time. I still haven't really decided on someone to make the cake. I know I really need to, seeing that it is like 4 months out...:( I dunno I am just being picky I guess. Here is some cake inspiration pictures that I have though, we when do pick our baker that I'm going to show her/him!

Michael wants a square cake. I really don't care, a
s long as it has polka dots! ha ha! Michael's favorite is the one that is square and green with the big white polka dots and the bow on top, top left, and I really like it too. But of course ours will be in different colors because our colors are Pink(like fuchsia/watermelon), Black, White. I like all of these but I picked them all out and let him choose from them! :) The tool box cake is what I want for his groom's cake. It was going to be a surprise but he saw in on my computer while we were looking thru cake pictures somehow. I was so sad! Anyways- Tell me what your favorite cake is, any comments appreciated, if you know any good bakers close by who makes good wedding cakes, let me know! Thanks for reading!
